Bitten on the calf during lifeguard training camp

A 14-year-old boy from Flagler Beach was bitten while running in thigh-deep water in Ponce Inlet. The bite occurred 200 meters north of the Ponce Inlet jetty in the 4900 block of South The Beach. Officials believed the shark was a 4-to-5-foot blacktip and said the teen had minimal injuries.
