A 21-year-old Georgia man was wading in waist-deep water in front of the Dunlawton Beach Approach just before 5:30 p.m. when a shark bit his left foot and ankle. The shark was estimated to be about 4 feet long. Beach Safety personnel treated him at the scene, and he was transported to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
